Day 3 - Danby, Vermont and area
We didn't get started as early as we wanted; in fact we overslept and had to race downstairs at 9:10 because we'd told Carol we would be ready for breakfast at 9:00. Coffee, juice, omelette, sausage and toast for me; cocoa, juice, Cheerios and bananas for Molly.
Off to Tinmouth where we spent the late morning and early afternoon poring over old town records. Molly was tenacious and found, among other things, a key record of Levi Crosby's marriage.
Early afternoon wandering around the hills. Finally, bemoaning the fact we had no four-wheel drive, took the higway into Manchester (rather than the alluring unpaved back road).
Some timid shopping in the Manchester upscale outlet stores. Then an hour or more at the wonderful Northshire Bookstore. Finally dinner at Christo's again (Molly discovered that calzones are huge) followed by desert at Friendly's.
Too tired to socialize tonight, we're just back in the room with the gas fire burning.
